This is the rule that quietly writes your roster. FanDuel allows four players from one team, so the biggest correlated block you can build is a quarterback and three of his receivers, and that block already spends four of your nine spots. Add the mandatory spread across three teams and the shape of the lineup is largely settled before you look at a single price. The optimizer holds both limits, so a stack you request comes back trimmed to something legal instead of failing.
What the optimizer enforces

Receptions pay half. Volume still matters, but it matters less than it does on a full-point site, and the players who find the end zone gain ground on the ones who only see targets.

How FanDuel scores a defense
The points-allowed brackets look familiar, but what fills them is specific to FanDuel.
FanDuel counts the points an opposing offense scores. Touchdowns your own offense hands over do not land on your defense's ledger the way they might elsewhere, which changes which defenses are worth streaming into a messy game. A unit facing a turnover-prone quarterback is more attractive here than the raw matchup suggests.
