Free FanDuel Lineup Optimizer
FanDuel gives every sport its own salary cap and its own fixed positions. The optimizer holds all of it, including the limit of four players from any one team.
How do I build a free FanDuel lineup?
Sign in with a free account, pick a slate, and the optimizer fills every position under that sport's cap using our projections. It also holds FanDuel's team limit for you: at most four players from one team, and at least three teams on the roster.
A different cap in every sport
There is no single FanDuel number to memorize. The cap and the roster shape both move when you change sport.

Rules it holds for you
Switch sport and the cap switches with it. You do not have to remember which number applies.
FanDuel basketball has no flex. Two point guards, two shooting guards, and so on down the sheet. A player who only qualifies at one spot has exactly one place to go, and the optimizer solves around that.
Four players from one team, three teams minimum. Ask for a bigger stack and it comes back trimmed to something legal instead of rejected.
Upload the Edit Entries CSV from an MLB or WNBA contest and we fill a row per entry, then you send the same file back. NBA is not supported yet.

Common questions
- What is the FanDuel salary cap?
- It depends on the sport. $35,000 for MLB, $60,000 for NBA, $40,000 for WNBA, $60,000 for NFL. Check the number before you price a roster in your head.
- How many players can I take from one team?
- Four, and you need at least three teams on the roster. In MLB you can take five, but one of them has to be the pitcher.
- Why are there two point guards in my NBA lineup?
- FanDuel fixes the positions. NBA is two PG, two SG, two SF, two PF and a center, with no flex spot to move around. The optimizer fills that shape exactly.
- How does the Edit Entries file work?
- Enter your contests on FanDuel first, then download that MLB or WNBA contest's Edit Entries CSV and upload it in our export tool. We fill one row per entry and you send the same file back. NBA is not supported yet.
