How we build this board

This page explains how we build the NBA props board.

Lines

Every line here is what a sportsbook posted for that night's game. The consensus line is the number most sportsbooks agree on. The range is the lowest and highest number any of them posted.

Best price (historical)

Best Over and Best Under are the best prices at the consensus line. A price of -200 or worse is never shown as the best price.

PrizePicks, Underdog, Betr and Pick6 are pick'em apps, not sportsbooks and are not in the consensus line, the range, or the best price. We show them separately. Alternate lines aren't shown yet.

Hit rate (historical)

L5 vs line is how many of a player's last five games beat tonight's consensus line, for the Over and the Under. It comes from graded box scores. Games with no result yet and voided lines are left out.

Season vs line is the same count over the whole season. A dash means no graded games.

vs that night grades each past game against that night's consensus line. If a line moved a lot, the two can look different and we show both.

Hit rate is a record of what happened.

Minutes and averages (historical)

L5 avg is the player's average for that stat over the last five games. Min L5 is their average minutes over the same games.

Combo markets

Combo markets like Points + Rebounds + Assists are graded on the combined total.

For research and entertainment only. This is market data, not a prediction or a betting recommendation. Hit rates are past results and don't predict future outcomes. Odds move constantly, so the price you see may differ from the price at your book. If gambling stops being fun, call 1-800-GAMBLER.
