Our weekly rankings, graded
Week 6: how far our published half-PPR rank was from where each player actually finished, by position. Lower is better.
| Pos | Rank miss | Top-12 calls | Points miss | Sample |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| QB | 8.3 | 8 of 12 | 5.4 | 24 players |
| RB | 20.4 | 7 of 12 | 5.6 | 52 players |
| WR | 26.8 | 2 of 12 | 5.0 | 64 players |
| TE | 15.4 | 3 of 12 | 4.9 | 24 players |
| DST | 9.6 | 6 of 12 | n/a | 23 players |
Our own measure, not the FantasyPros accuracy score. Rank miss is the average gap in spots between our rank and the actual finish, over our top ranked players plus the week's top scorers at the position (a player we left unranked counts one spot below our last). Top-12 calls is how many of our top 12 at the position finished in the actual top 12. Scored in plain half-PPR (no yardage bonuses) with standard defense scoring. Points miss is the average gap between our projected points and the actual points, over our ranked players. It is not shown for defenses, whose projection uses a different scoring scale.
Our projections versus the vendor's
Average miss in PPR points per player (lower is better). Player counts for these averages are not published yet.
| Group | Vendor | Ours |
|---|---|---|
| QB | 5.12 | 5.30 |
| RB | 3.84 | 4.21 |
| WR | 4.30 | 4.34 |
| TE | 3.89 | 4.08 |
| DST | 3.81 | 3.79 |
Our error was not lower than the vendor's at QB, RB, WR, TE.
Points are full-PPR fantasy points, scored on the DraftKings basis. A start is a player we called START, a sit is a player we called SIT, both in PPR.
